I certainly don’t believe that adding media literacy to the curriculum will solve the many and varied issues with which new technology faces us – for two reasons, firstly, the challenges are often more to those outside formal education than within it and secondly, the development of so-called “soft skills” like this is notoriously tricky to achieve using traditional approaches to the curriculum.
