Question

  1. Aleks Krotoski, Do you think that the influence of videogame violence has something to do with a childs upbringing? Surely there must be a connection between a child who has been sitting in front of Grand Theft Auto all day and one out playing sports? I do believe that the introduction of games such as Manhunt or Resident Evil at an early age would have a greater effect on the psychology of a young person than someone who has learned the difference between right and wrong, reality and fantasy. This is inevitably a debate that will rage on for years, children will always find a way of getting hold of these types of games, there is no stopping that. The real question is should we ban them altogether? A tricky one.
